In the midst of anguish, terrible affliction, I implore you, Holy Mother of God! Angel among men; cherub meat visible sovereign of heaven, pure as the air; caste as the light; immaculate shine of the morning star in the heavens! Higher up the tabernacle of the Most Holy Place of the inaccessible! See the blessed promise! Eden spiritual tree of eternal life, protected by a flaming sword! Fortified and protected by the Father in the highest heaven! Rivestita e purificata dalla discesa dello Spirito Santo! Adornata per ospitare il Figlio e divenuta suo tabernacolo! È in effetti il Figlio unico del Padre e tuo unico figlio: tuo Figlio di nascita, tuo Signore per la creazione!
A causa della tua inalterabile santità, intercedi con clemenza; ricevi le preghiere di colui che confida nelle tue richieste. Accetta e approva, con queste preghiere, le parole del mio antico e grande panegirico, sotto le tue poderose suppliche. Riunisci, metti insieme i sospiri amari di un peccatore come me, con i tuoi beati appelli, pieni di profumi, tu che sei il tronco che dà il frutto benedetto della vita! E così soccorso, Signora, con i beni che mi concederai, felice e realizzato, rifugiato nel tuo seno immacolato, ricevendo la luce che viene da te, vivrò per Cristo, tuo Figlio e Signore!
